Technical Officer, Smart Mobility

Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for project implementation including technical feasibility study, solution development of consultancy and government-funded projects about Smart Mobility and A.I. solutions
  • Research and develop software programs and system designs for robotic systems, machine vision, and AI applications
  • Co-work with technical partners to ensure the project excellence
  • Prepare technical documents for projects, including technical proposals, testing and commissioning plan and report
  • Support the project management and ad hoc tasks when required

 
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computing, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent with hands-on experience in research and product development work
  • 2 years or above working experience in software design for robot systems, machine vision, AI applications, etc.
  • Proficiency in program languages, such as Python and JavaScript
  • Proficiency in Linux-based programs, Robotic Operating System (ROS)
  • Good command of English

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
