Job Description

What you'll do:
- Responsible for generating project ideas, project implementation including feasibility study, solution development of consultancy and government funded projects in the area of Smart Mobility
- Develop and optimize algorithms for point cloud processing, sensor fusion, and scene reconstruction from autonomous vehicle data suites
- Hands-on tasks including data pipeline architecture, algorithm coding, and validation of reconstructed environments
- Liaise with technical solution partners or suppliers to ensure key milestones are met
- Prepare technical documents, including processing workflows, algorithm design specifications, and validation reports
- Support the project management and ad hoc tasks when required
- Occasional travel to the Chinese Mainland when required
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with hands-on experience in computer vision or data modelling
- 2 years or above working experience in software system design specifically for autonomous driving, robotics, or high-definition (HD) mapping
- Proven expertise in 3D geometry, SLAM, or photogrammetry for reconstructing physical environments into digital models
- Must possess a valid Hong Kong Driving License (Class 2) to conduct on-road data collection and system testing
- Experience in any one of below skills an advantage:
- Developing data pipelines for autonomous driving perception stacks
- Expert-level C++/C programming, Linux-based development, Python, or ROS
- Working with LiDAR, RADAR, and Camera calibration and synchronisation
- Managing government-funded R&D project lifecycles
- Good command of both spoken and written in English and Chinese
- Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
