Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Support on the project implementation for projects related to plastics, composites and smart manufacturing:
    • Conduct feasibility study and literature review
    • Conduct R&D of material development, manufacturing process and machinery design and fabrication
    • Conduct trial runs and prepare samples
    • Set up and conduct experiments
    • Draft reports
  • Support on developing marketing and commercialization plans and conducting marketing activities, e.g. public seminars and training courses
  • Travel to Mainland China or overseas occasionally for on-site work and project implementation
  • Support ad hoc assignments if necessary

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Materials/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechatronics or related engineering / science discipline from a local university or top 100 universities
  • Knowledge or hands-on experience in plastic/composite processing, CAD/CAM/CAE
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, preferably with experience in technology research and development
  • Good command of English, Cantonese or Putonghua

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
