What you'll do:

  • To deliver consultancy services and implement R&D projects related to Low-altitude Economy (LAE) topics with the adoption of the latest drone technologies, 4G/5G plus GNSS technologies, flight data integration platform, human machine interface (HMI) via dashboard virtualization, AI-based computer vision and image processing, etc.
  • To develop and build new business plus proof of concept on developing Low Altitude Economy (LAE) for any drone applications such as delivery, inspection, cleaning, surveying, agriculture, etc.
  • To provide technical support or advisory service on “Regulatory Sandbox” pilot project implementation and facilitate the trial flight collaboration.  
  • To create, apply and manage Council’s Advanced Operation Permit (AOP) and maintain Approved Training Organization (ATO) annual audit.
  • To assist Unit to acquire new business and projects through client resources, association resources and/or government departments independently as well as to support Division to achieve financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • To establish industry standard, networking and pursue collaboration with government departments, technological partners, industry players and professional bodies in GBA, ASEAN and/or worldwide.
  • Travel to the Mainland and outside Hong Kong for service delivery or business matters is needed. 

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • BSc. or BEng. Degree from engineering disciplines such as Aviation, Industrial and System Engineering, Mechatronics, Data/Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • At least one year or more relevant experience particularly in I&T industry or digitalized solutions related to Industrial Drone applications, flight management platform, etc. 
  • Solid experience or knowledge on Small Unmanned Aircraft Order cap. 448G, drone remote pilot (advanced rating)-Cat A & B, Advanced Operation Permit (AOP), AI/Machine Learning on drone application scenarios, Mainland CAAC Remote Pilot License (less than 150kg and BVLOS) is definitely an advantage.
  • Good interpersonal, project management, presentation and communication skills, and shall be a team player and project leader.
  • Strong commitment to KPIs, result oriented, self-initiated and able to work under pressure.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
  • More experience or Applicants may be considered for other higher positions if matching the requirements of the subject position.
