Job Description

What you'll do:
- Apply cutting-edge techniques for intelligent systems, such as deep learning-based perception, multi-sensor fusion, high-accuracy localization, and other artificial intelligence methods, in research and development projects
- Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and customers to drive innovative automotive solutions
- Maintain close communication with supervisors to ensure project progress aligns with goals and requirements
- Prepare proposals, provide regular progress updates, and report issues in a timely manner
- Ensure full compliance with project objectives and funding requirements
- Organize promotional and capability-building activities, including study missions, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions
- Support ad hoc assignments; occasional travel to Chinese Mainland or overseas may be required
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- A Master’s degree in Electronic & Information Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline from a recognized institution
- At least 2 years of experience in AI system design, machine vision, embedded systems, or autonomous systems
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages such as C, C++, C#, MATLAB, Go, or Java
- Hands-on experience with at least one deep learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, Caffe, CNTK, PyTorch)
- Experience in R&D projects, government-funded initiatives, or patent applications is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
- Good command of English and Chinese

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
