Senior R&D Manager, Green Transportation
Automotive Platforms & Application Systems R&D Centre

Job Duties:
- Assist the Unit Head of R&D to lead the R&D team and manage the development of Green Transportation according to the centre R&D roadmap including new energy vehicles, vehicle electrification, EV charging facilities, energy storage, solid-state battery, fuel cell and electric powertrain etc
- Initiate, build & manage new R&D projects efficiently by sourcing industry partners for government funded projects or setting up consultancy services with clients, going through market-driven analysis and surveys, technical solution consortium, project execution and field application support
- Supervise and drive teammates to complete the project deliverables on time by effective leadership in tackling technical problems
- Manage R&D projects effectively including regular progress review, resources planning, budget control, testing procedures and type approval etc
- Ensure full compliance to requirements and practices under the Innovation & Technology Fund (ITF) guidelines and proprietary standard practices, manage team to compile progress reports and submissions in timely manner aligning to planned project milestones
- Communicate technology transfer of R&D results to potential clients and general public in bringing up R&D centre’s professional image
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree or above in Automotive / Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline or equivalent
- At least 8 years working experience with strong project and supplier management skills
- Experience in Power electronics, high power motor design and control, automotive engineering or EV charging system is preferred
- Good experience in at least one of following expertise:
- EV traction motor control;
- High power and EV battery management system designs;
- Vehicle structural design;
- Vehicle electrification, etc
- With self-initiation to locate and solve problems, strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and able to identify various resources and achieve common goals
- Good commercial and industry network in automotive industry in China, Hong Kong and overseas is preferred
- Presentable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua
