Job Description

Job Highlights 

  • Administer the government funding programme 

  • Project management and implementation  

  • Assist the funding programme enhancement 

 

What you'll do:

  • Manage and administer the government funding programme that encourages local companies and inventors to protect their inventions through patent registration  

  • Implement the overall process of applications vetting, fund disbursement, project monitoring to achieve programme effectiveness and quality assurance 

  • Work closely with grantees and service providers and prepare relevant documents required for patent applications and funding disbursement 

  • Enhance workflow and implement digitisation for the funding programme and conduct analysis regularly 

  • Liaise with various stakeholders and industry partners to develop new IP projects 

  • Participate in assigned consulting or training tasks to support the development of local industries 

  • Compile programme statistics, prepare relevant reports and meeting materials 

 

  
You'll be a good fit if you have/are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from disciplines such as law, science, engineering, information system, business or equivalent 

  • Intellectual property experience will be an advantage 

  • Interested in IP protection works for technology-related inventions  

  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience  

  • Good analytical, writing, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Mature, self-motivated, well-organized, meticulous, and result-oriented 

  • Good command of English, Cantonese, and Putonghua

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
