Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient cybersecurity expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in AI-enabled threat detection, AI security, and cybersecurity automation, and will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity services to the public and private sectors, while also driving internal security innovation and resilience.

 

 

What you'll do:

 

HKCERT Operational Services

  • Manage and deliver HKCERT operational services, including security incident response, cyber threat monitoring, early warning services, vulnerability coordination, and hotline support for Internet users and local enterprises.
  • Drive cybersecurity research and threat intelligence activities, including analysing emerging attack techniques, threat actor trends, AI-related cyber risks, vulnerabilities, and defence technologies.
  • Support AI-enabled cybersecurity initiatives, including the adoption of security automation, threat detection analytics, AI-assisted security operations, and the evaluation of AI-related risks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support incident handling, threat information sharing, and cybersecurity initiatives.

 

Internal Cybersecurity Management

  • Support internal cybersecurity management activities, including cyber risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, security monitoring, cyber incidents handling, cyber resilience initiatives, etc.
  • Develop and implement AI/ML-based tools and workflows to enhance security operations and incident response
  • Perform other ad-hoc projects and assignments related to cybersecurity, AI security, digital trust, and technology risk management as required.

 

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, AI, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, incident response, or AI security.  Candidates with less experience but passionate about intersection of AI and cyber security are also welcome.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML in cybersecurity, including threat detection, anomaly detection, and automation will be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerability management, and security frameworks.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, or AI/ML-related certifications are a plus.
  • Mature, self-motivated and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and adapt to technology changes.
  • Good command of English and Chinese.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of  Consultant, Cybersecurity  
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
