Job Description

What you'll do: 

  • Work closely with team members of HKCERT and cyber security service team closely  

  • Handle HKCERT operations such as monitoring of security threats, providing advice on incident response, publishing security alert, handling hotline, etc.  

  • Conduct research and publish reports on emerging security threats and defense trends, specializing in IoT, mobile, cloud, application security, or threat intelligence  

  • Develop automation tools to facilitate HKCERT operations and services 

  • Provide technical support to internal systems 

  • Provide awareness talks or technical training 

  • Handle ad-hoc projects and assignments  

   

You'll be a good fit if you have/are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Security related disciplines with 3 or more years  of relevant working experience, Candidates with less experience but passionate about cyber security and showing potential in security research are also welcome; Professional training opportunities will be provided   

  • Experience in computer programming skills such as Python, NodeJS, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc. 

  • Experience in conducting research with tangible output, handling hotline and delivering public talks in information security areas 

  • Hands-on experience in AI model training and workflow automation is an advantage 

  • Hands-on experience with Splunk, Elastic Stack, honeypot, MISP, dark web monitoring and offensive security tools such as Burp Suite, Nessus, Kali Linux, Nmap, SQLmap, Wireshark, etc. is an advantage 

  • Experience in performing data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights 

  • Certification in information security or offensive security, such as CEH, OSCP, GIAC - GXPN, GPEN, GWAPT, CISSP, etc.is an advantage but not a must  

  • Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua. Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
