Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for initiation and implementation of robotics, AI and autonomous driving technology related project including feasibility study, conceptual design, solution development
  • Responsible for liaising with collaboration parties from industry clients, universities, and other R&D Institutes to formulate feasible solutions addressing clients’ needs by integrating various technologies through consultancy and/or government funded projects
  • Design, develop, and validate key algorithms for perception, planning, and control in robotic / low speed AV systems
  • Develop multimodal LLM-based reasoning framework for closed-loop, end-to-end robotic/AV systems
  • Conduct simulation and real-world testing to optimize system performance and reliability
  • Travel outside Hong Kong occasionally

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering or equivalent with hands on experience in research and product development work
  • 3 years or more working experience in R&D projects related to robotics, AI and autonomous driving technology
  • Proficiency in C++/Python and experience with ROS, Linux, or embedded systems
  • Solid knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, sensor fusion is a plus
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving frameworks (e.g., Apollo, Autoware) and simulators (e.g. Carla, LGSVL) is a plus
  • Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
  • Good command of English

 

Note:

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.
