Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • Assume the role of deputy programme manager in the operation of a government funding programme for promoting cleaner production technologies and practices to industries in the HKSAR and Guangdong Province.
  • Lead the Programme Technical Support Team to deliver professional and effective assessment and monitoring of applications and funding disbursement in accordance with established rules and guidelines.
  • Serve as an environmental technical subject matter expert advising external parties
  • Act as a leader with future focused insights on technology developments affecting environmental issues
  • Conduct technical analysis of programme data and stakeholders’ views to achieve the expected performance levels and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in planning promotion and marketing programmes and updating of the website for disseminating information to the industry.
  • As a Technical team lead to take part of project meetings both internally and externally, prepare papers, reports, and minutes and undertake follow-up actions.
  • Maintain regular communication with government officials and build networks with industrial associations.
  • Help develop, manage and deliver new programmes or solicitation themes to achieve carbon neutrality.
  • Prepare regular management reports on budget, project expenses, etc.
  • Drive the digitization of the programme and implement measures to enhance the effectiveness of the programme.

 

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 year’s relevant experience in the field of cleaner production technologies / environmental engineering.
  • Expert knowledge in environmental improvement for industrial operations.
  • Knowledge and experience in data science would be an advantage
  • Good command of Cantonese, English and Putonghua.
