Job Description

What you'll do:
- Responsible for initiation and implementation of state-of-the-art EV power electronics, robotics related project including feasibility study, conceptual design, solution development
- Responsible for liaising with collaboration parties from industry clients and universities to formulate feasible solutions addressing clients’ needs by integrating various technologies through consultancy and/or government funded projects
- Design and optimize high-power-density on-board/off-board charger, DC/DC, motor inverter topologies
- Develop advanced control algorithm, perform schematics / PCB layout design and magnetic component optimization
- Conduct simulation and testing to optimize system performance and reliability
- Travel outside Hong Kong occasionally
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
- Strong theoretical and practical background in soft-switching technologies and high frequency transformer design
- Proficient in simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, Saber, or Ansys Maxwell
- Proficient in EDA tool (PADS, Altium Designer)
- Experience on DSP/MCU and their software tools(TI, Infineon, ST, Freescale) for product development
- Experience in designing power electronics systems for EMI/EMC compliance
- Self-motivated and strong problem-solving skills
- Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (i.e. Cantonese or Putonghua)
