Job Description

What you'll do: 

  • Implement government-funded R&D projects focused on metal recycling technologies that employ nonwoven materials. 
  • Design, develop, and evaluate R&D projects to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Conduct desktop research related to the aforementioned R&D area. 
  • Prepare project proposals, detailed technical documents, and progress reports. 
  • Handle ad hoc tasks as required to meet project needs and challenges. 
  • Engage with R&D partners (including universities, technology suppliers, clients, and end users) and organize technology commercialization events (such as training sessions, seminars, conferences, and exhibitions) locally and overseas.  
  • Occasionally travel to Chinese Mainland and overseas for project implementation and to study new technologies. 

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are: 

  • A doctoral degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline from a top-100 university in the QS World University Rankings 
  • Hands-on R&D experience in nonwoven materials using melt-blown, spunbond, or electrospinning is highly preferred 
  • Knowledge of metal recycling technologies, materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM/EDX, DSC/TGA, XRF), and analytical techniques (e.g., ICP-MS) is required
  • Knowledge of chemical process design is preferred 
  • Experience implementing ITF projects or working in local research institutions will be an advantage
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
  • A good command of English, particularly in proposal and report writing
