Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Assist to conduct the design, development, and evaluation of automation equipment, IoT devices, and optical inspection equipment.
  • Assist to conduct R&D works on automation equipment, IIoT devices, AI devices, robotic control systems, and optical inspection equipment.
  • Assist to provide consultancy services on industrial applications.  
  • Assist to organize and market new technology in local and overseas training, seminars, conference, study missions, exhibitions, and other technology dissemination events.
  • Travel to Mainland China and overseas occasionally for project implementation and new technology study.
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments when required.

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering, artificial intelligence, automation engineering, internet of things, manufacturing engineering, electronic engineering or related discipline from a local university.
  • Knowledge and skill in AI, robotics, machine learning, automation, system integration, IIoT, PLC programming, cloud computing and/or other related experience.
  • Working experience in technology research and development preferred.
  • Good command of English and Putonghua.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
