What you'll do:
- Lead the design and optimization of advanced deep learning models (including transformers, graph neural networks, and diffusion models) for protein and RNA 3D structure prediction, with a focus on enhancing AlphaFold2/3 frameworks.
- Develop novel algorithms incorporating multi-step node interactions and graph-based attention mechanisms to improve structural prediction accuracy and computational efficiency.
- Validate models on large-scale datasets (e.g., CASP RNA, AlphaFold DB) and demonstrate strong collaboration skills by working with cross-border teams to integrate solutions into industrial high-throughput sequencing platforms.
- Explore RNA foundation models (e.g., RNA-FM) and fastMSA tools, with the potential to advance the academic and industrial state-of-the-art in these areas.
- Publish breakthroughs in top-tier journals and contribute to patent applications in AI-driven biomolecular design.
You'll be a good fit if you have/are any of below:
- PhD (or MSc with strong experience) in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow); hands-on experience with transformer architectures and graph data modeling.
- Familiarity with AlphaFold2/3, RNA-FM, and structural biology tools (PDB, Rosetta).
- Demonstrated ability to innovate in attention mechanisms (e.g., sparse/linear attention, bipartite graph strategies).
- Experience with distributed training and biological data formats (PDB, mmCIF).
- Strong publication and/or patent record in computational biology or structural bioinformatics.
