Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for government-funded R&D projects implementation including but not limited to the field of machine vision, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, Geographic Information System (GIS), Intelligent transportation, etc.
  • Utilize various techniques of audio signal processing/ image processing, machine/deep learning, building Deep Neural Network (DNN) and other neural networks to conduct development work 
  • Work closely with supervisor to keep track of progress. Ensure full compliance of project goals and Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF)’s requirements
  • Support the development work, collect and analyze data; learn and master application of different techniques or technologies including Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, simulation, system design, machine vision, etc.
  • Prepare proposals and report related to project progress and issues in timely manner
  • Engage in partnership with industry partners and Universities
  • Support ad hoc projects and assignments
  • Occasional travels to Mainland China or overseas may be required

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Doctoral Degree in Engineering and Computer Science disciplines
  • Experience in R&D activities of AI, computer vision, machine learning or relevant areas is a must.
  • Experience in R&D, government projects and patent applications preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in conducting research in digital signal processing, IoT communication technologies, wireless communication, big data analytics, automotive technologies, sensor technologies, computer science, robotics, automation is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in any ONE of the following expertise will be is a plus:
    • Build AI models using platforms, such as cuDNN, TensorRT, C++ programming in Linux, etc.
    • Hands-on skills in one of any deep learning platforms, such as Keras, Tensorflow, Caffe, CNTK, PyTorch, etc.
    • Internet of Things (IoT) devices and/or Information Communication Technology
    • System and Software development (in C/C++, Python or Java, etc.)
    • Robotic, ROS, Pointcloud
  • Strong analytical mind with problem solving skills and communication skills
