Job Description

What you'll do:

  • To provide administrative and operational support to the Council Secretariat and support ad hoc projects and assignments as required
  • To coordinate logistics for meetings and activities, prepare correspondence and materials, undertake follow up actions and handle confidential matters with discretion
  • To engage with Council Members’ offices and external bodies such as government personnel by supporting onboarding, answering enquiries, coordinating schedules of meetings and visits, and arranging invitations
  • To assist in handling procurement and internal procedural matters   
  • To maintain accurate records, filing systems and databases
  • To liaise with internal divisions for information support, database management and record-keeping

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Diploma or above in English Language, Translation, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Three years or more solid experience in secretarial and administrative duties, preferably in a public organisation
  • Strong sense of accountability, good analytical and organising skills, ability to work under pressure
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred; plus proficiency in MS office and Chinese word processing
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
