Job Description

What you'll do:
- Implement and administer government funding programmes related to Chinese medicine development in Hong Kong.
- Review and assess government-funded programme applications, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of government-funded projects and review progress reports submitted by grantees for funding disbursement or approval.
- Handle enquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organize and facilitate meetings of the Advisory Committee and various working groups, including preparation of meeting papers and related liaison work.
- Lead digitalisation initiatives to enhance and maintain the funding programme database, and assist in providing regular analyses of programme progress and achievements.
- Assist in organising seminars on new initiatives and publicity activities for the funding programme.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Health, Chinese Medicine, Science, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- A postgraduate degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics would be an advantage.
- Experience in administering government funding schemes and/or government-funded projects is an advantage.
- Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Chinese medicine manufacturing is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Medicine industry, and/or related research is beneficial.
- A strong work ethic; mature, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing.
- Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
- A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
