Job Description

What you'll do

  • Provide technical support for the calibration of air quality sensors, with in-house training provided.
  • Undertake outdoor field works, such as transferring *air quality sensors (MAS-AF-300) to destinated monitoring sites in Hong Kong (e.g. Peng Chau (transportation by ferry), Tsing Yi and Mount Davis, Tuen Mun, Wan Chai and Kai Tak Sports Park etc.) and supervise on-site equipment installation, and sensor maintenance.
  • Provide support in processing and validation of data measured by the sensors.
  • Prepare monthly data reports and manage all raw and validated data for each sensor.
  • Liaise with the client by email and/or phone call to address the comments of the reports.
  • Perform other necessary duties as necessary.

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are: 

  • Experience from disciplines such as Environmental Engineering/Science or equivalent
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills 
  • Good command of English 
  • Responsible and a good team player
  • Familiarity with the use of MS Office Suite and data visualization programs, e.g. Python or equivalent

 

Note:

1. Applicant may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position.

2. This is a position of internship programme of 7 months (from July 2025 to January 2026)

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
