What you'll do:

 

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Smart Electronics Unit to achieve business growth and project expansion through client resources, associations, and government funding schemes. Focus on customer satisfaction to meet financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Identify opportunities in consultancy and government-funded projects for the adoption of AI, IoT, Cloud, LAE, and robotics in Smart City applications, areas including Smart Electronics, Smart City Governance, Smart Logistics & Warehousing, Smart Health, and Smart Energy
  • Plan, define, and execute the development of emerging technologies, particularly in sensing, chip/semiconductor, computing and AI according to in-house/outside capabilities and global technology trend and by working closely with cutting-edge technology related corporations, start-ups, accelerators, VCs, universities, and R&D centres to enable Smart City initiatives
  • Lead the team by attracting top talent and continuously enhancing team members' technical and soft skills. Create opportunities for new challenges and responsibilities, fostering a collaborative and learning environment
  • Establish industrial networking and pursue collaboration with government departments, technological partners, industry players, and professional bodies in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and globally. Ensure HKPC's leading position in the aforementioned Smart City application areas as well as emerging technologies globally
  • Support and execute any other ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the organization

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/ are:

 

  • Master’s degree or above in a relevant technology field such as Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science. Candidates with a Doctorate degree will be highly advantageous
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years specifically in technology areas related to smart applications
  • Solid experience in AI/Cloud and the following application areas (Smart Electronics, Smart City Governance, Smart Logistics & Warehousing, Smart Health, and Smart Energy).  Experience in more technologies and application areas is absolutely an advantage
  • Strong commitment to financial target and KPIs, result oriented, self-initiated and able to work under pressure
  • Good interpersonal, project management, presentation and communication skills, and shall be a team player and project leader
  • Good command of English
