Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Provide support in developing green technology / waste recycling technology by conducting research and development (R&D) works
  • Provide support in the implementation of environmental consultancy and waste management projects with consultants, senior officers and project members
  • Prepare project deliverables (e.g. project plan, project schedule and project reports)
  • Corporate with assistant officers and lead part-timers to conduct on-site monitoring work, promotion activities and surveys to target stakeholders
  • Collect project /survey data for analyzing and compiling results
  • Provide support to on-site engineering works
  • Provide general administrative, operation and ad-hoc support according to project needs
  • Perform management and operation tasks on office work environment safety measures

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Degree in Environmental / Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science / Management or related discipline
  • At least 1-year experience / knowledge in delivering projects in waste management / policies, environmental management / electrical & mechanical engineering and recycling and environmental protection technologies is an advantage
  • Experience in handling R&D projects is an advantage
  • Mature, self-motivated, flexible, able to work independently and meet tough deadlines
  • Proficiency in computer packages including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.  For other packages including MS Publisher, Project and Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Arcobat, AutoCAD and Google business apps are preferred
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua

 

Note:

2. This is a temporary position for a period of 12 months.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
