The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation established by statute in 1967, to promote productivity excellence through relentless drive of world-class advanced technologies and innovative service offerings to support Hong Kong enterprises. To meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business environment, we are looking for a seasoned executive for the post of General Manager, Digital Trust and Transformation to enhance HKPC’s capabilities in the technology areas underpinning digital trust and transformation services.

 

Job Description

What you will do:

 

  • Formulate, drive, and execute the division’s strategies in line with the corporate mission and innovative technology development in the areas of digital trust and transformation services. Build a sustainable business model and achieve all financial and non-financial key performance indicators
  • Lead the professional teams to provide market-driven services in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, Big Data, Digital Technology, industry innovation & transformation, Cyber Security and AI Governance etc.
  • Lead the AI initiative of HKPC to drive innovation and productivity both internally and across the industries 
  • Lead the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) to facilitate the dissemination of information, provide advice on preventive measures against security threats, and promote information security awareness
  • Develop and leverage the technical competencies of the division to create new business opportunities pertinent to industry needs in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and overseas
  • Establish and maintain strong network and develop appropriate platforms to strengthen partnerships with the Government, industry, academia and research sectors
  • Provide coaching, leadership, development opportunities and guidance to continuously upgrade the division’s talents and overall capabilities
  • Oversee all operational and financial processes within the division to comply with the latest corporate governance requirements
  • Develop and elevate our technology partnerships and engagement with existing and potential partners worldwide, such as industry associations, research, and commercial entities

 

You will be a good fit if you have/are:

 

  • A university degree, preferably with a master’s degree or above, in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, engineering or equivalent disciplines
  • 20 years’ working experience, with over 6 years’ solid management experience at senior positions in sizable organisations or multinational corporations. Candidates with less experience will also be considered
  • Proven track records in AI, Generative AI, Digital Transformation, and / or related technology fields
  • Sound relationship with the industry, trade associations, professional bodies, universities and research institutes in Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and overseas
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Self-motivation, with strong leadership competencies and foresight in technology development
  • Good planning, organising and financial management skills and ability to uphold the effectiveness of a cross-professional team and corporate governance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in working with HKSAR and/or Chinese Mainland Government an advantage
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
