What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the industrialization of life and health technologies, aligning with organizational goals in both HK and Mainland.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, marketing, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product and production development, optimization and launch for both clients and government-funded projects.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement best practices for industrialisation efficiency, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in product and process industrialization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including life and healthcare developers, technology partners, regulatory bodies and relevant associations.
  • Innovation Management: Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging new ideas and approaches to enhance product & technology offerings via various types of resources.
  • Performance Outcome: Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for both financial and non-financial to confirm success and drive continuous improvement in technology industrialization processes. Execute ad-hoc projects or tasks to support the growth of the division and HKPC.

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field of life and health (e.g., Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Life and Health Science, Biological Science, Biochemical Science, etc.).  A higher degree relevant to the life & health field is preferred.
  • Credit will be given to those with other relevant certified credential, such as Six Sigma Belt, Project Management Professional, Lean Specialist, Sector-specific Quality Management System, Factories & Industrial Undertakings, etc.
  • Proven solid experience in life and health industrialisation processing industry such as western medicine, Chinese medicine, diagnostic and medical devices, health food and supplement, etc.)
  • Good technical knowledge of product development, production scale up, manufacturing processes, quality standards, compliance system and industry best practices such as local rules and regulation related to life and health field
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and drive efficient outcome.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with a strong problem-solving orientation, capable of identifying and addressing complex technical challenges.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry advancements.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry conferences or events

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
