Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Assist the Head of R&D to lead the R&D team and manage the development of Intelligent Systems according to the centre R&D roadmap including AI optical recognition, AI voice recognition (ASR, NLU, TTS), AI data analytics and cloud based systems
  • Initiate, build & manage new R&D projects efficiently by sourcing industry partners for government funded projects or setting up consultancy services with clients, going through market-driven analysis and surveys, technical solution consortium, project execution and field application support
  • Supervise and drive teammates to complete the project deliverables on time by effective leadership in tackling technical problems
  • Manage R&D projects effectively including regular progress review, resources planning, budget control, testing procedures and type approval etc
  • Coordinate technology transfer of R&D results to potential clients and general public in bringing up R&D centre’s professional image

 

You'll be good a good fit if you have/are: 

  • Bachelor Degree or above in Automotive / Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline
  • At least 8 years working experience in Power electronics, high power motor design and control, automotive engineering or EV charging system is preferred
  • Sound Knowledge of agile Project Management, SAFe,  V-model, and project management tools such as Jira, github, Confluence
  • Experience in at least one of following expertise:
    • Basic knowledge of and practical experience with programming languages such as C++ and/or Java
    • Deep Learning and Machine Learning frameworks. Preference for CUDA programming experience and expertise. 
    • Multi-year experience working on AI Model Training/Inferencing and other GPU related technologies and application domain environment. Preference for Expertise in GPU platforms. 
    • Deep understanding about the development workflow and state of the art tools of series AI/ Machine Learning models
    • Strong technical understanding of Data Analytics, Conversational AI, Embedded System/Jetson. Experience in network communication protocol is an added advantage.
    • Knowledge in BI software or analysis software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, R, Python)
