Job Description

What you'll do:
- Drive the development and implementation of high-fidelity digital twin systems, virtual simulation environments, and static road restorations for smart mobility and autonomous driving simulators.
- Take charge of building digital twin scenes, 3D model integration, scene assembly, and real-time rendering optimization leveraging advanced platform toolchains (such as NVIDIA Omniverse) to achieve efficient, modular environment generation.
- Interface with diverse engineering assets including CAD, BIM, 3DMax, and Blender. Oversee model format conversions, standardized USD (Universal Scene Description) asset processing, and the establishment of a robust centralized simulation asset library.
- Conduct rigorous requirement analysis for smart mobility digital twins. Execute full-scene layout planning, logic configuration, rigid-body/sensor physics simulations, and interactive system development.
- Manage government-funded R&D projects. Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, progress reports, and documentation to ensure full compliance with the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) guidelines.
- Support ad-hoc research assignments. Occasional travel to Chinese Mainland or overseas will be required for site integration, data collection, and collaborative trials.
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- Master’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, Digital Media, Industrial Design, or a related technology discipline.
- At least 3 years or above solid experience related areas.
- Strong mastery of 3D modeling fundamentals, Universal Scene Description (USD) formatting, material styling, lighting configurations, and baseline animation workflows.
- Excellent logical thinking, spatial reasoning, and strong hands-on prototyping capabilities to translate abstract operational scenarios into high-fidelity visualizations.
- Strong analytical mind with clear technical documentation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven project experience in at least one of the following domains: Digital Twins, Virtual/Industrial Simulation, Smart City modeling, or advanced 3D Spatial Visualization.
- Familiarity with Python for scripting automation pipelines, asset processing, or simulation logic.
- Experience with Robotics frameworks (ROS/ROS2), 3D Point Cloud processing, and positioning tech (GNSS/IMU/RTK).
- Prior experience in government-funded R&D projects, collaborative grant applications (e.g., ITF), or patent drafting.
- Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or the experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred.
- Applicants will be assigned to different projects subject to relevant working experience.
- Good command of English and Chinese
