What you’ll do:

  • Solution Design & Technical Stack Architecture: Focus on interdisciplinary solution design for smart city scenarios (e.g., infrastructure maintenance, building and property management, fire evacuation simulation, gerontech), leveraging AI, robotics, IoT, and simulation techniques.
  • Client Engagement & Consulting: Manage end-to-end client engagement—from requirement analysis and solution proposal to delivery and project closure. Collaborate closely with government departments, enterprises, and tech partners to ensure solutions align with business and operational needs.
  • Demo & Prototype Building: Develop hands-on prototypes and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to validate technical feasibility, demonstrate business value, and support presales efforts, stakeholder buy-in, and project execution.
  • Knowledge Curation & Technology Exploration: Consolidate existing best practices and reusable patterns from completed projects. Continuously explore and pilot new technologies (e.g., embodied AI, AI-enabled simulation and optimization) to enrich solution offerings and expand the internal knowledge base.

 

You’ll be a good fit if you have / are:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Applied Science, or a related field (Ph.D. degree is an advantage).
  • 3+ years of full-time working experience in technology consulting or project management role.
  • Extensive project experience in smart city-related areas, such as infrastructure maintenance, property management, fire evacuation simulation, and gerontech.
  • Hands-on experience in modelling and simulation (e.g., CFD, agent-based modelling, system simulation).
  • Programming experience in Python and/or MATLAB, with familiarity in technical computing and simulation workflows.
  • Experience in securing and managing Hong Kong Government-funded projects (e.g., ITF) is an advantage.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
  • Good command of written and spoken English; Cantonese proficiency is an advantage
