Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Implement government funded or commercial research and development projects related to life & health technology development, future food development, food technology development
  • Implement consultancy projects for life and health, and food enterprises
  • Assist in preparing proposals seeking government funds such as ITF, NIAS, NIFS, etc.
  • Assist team head to build up team’s R&D expertise on functional food, life and health technology
  • Organise events such as technology dissemination seminar, overseas study mission, etc.
  • Organise and deliver food safety and hygiene training courses
  • Be person-in-charge on operations and safety management for Future Life & Health Tech Centre and Future Food Tech Centre
  • Assist in ad hoc works from supervisors
 
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
  • Bachelor degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline, MPhil or PhD would be an advantage
  • 2 years' relevant research experience preferably in functional food, life & health technology
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Good command of English and Chinese
