What you'll do:
- Conduct literature reviews to identify R&D project ideas related to the development and application of advanced manufacturing technology.
- Provide technical support for turn-key solutions for different industries, especially in the areas of advanced manufacturing, 3D printing, smartification, automation, and new material technology.
- Support project prospection with clients and technology partners.
- Develop project proposals including desktop research, literature searches, drafting technical contents, and cost estimations.
- Provide support in project management, ensuring smooth coordination of project timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet project objectives.
- Provide solutions for tackling technical difficulties in ongoing R&D projects.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to address project needs and challenges effectively.
- Prepare articles for technology or marketing promotion and coach Engineering Officer or Intern for service delivery
- Travel occasionally to mainland China and overseas for project implementation and new technology studies.
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- A degree in engineering disciplines such as Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronic, Information technology, Industrial Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
- Prior experience in government project implementation, automation, or the manufacturing industry would be highly beneficial
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Demonstrated maturity, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and able to work under pressure
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
- Proficient in CAD/CAM/CAE such as Solidworks, UG etc. an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Candidates with experience in applied research and development (R&D) are also highly valued in this position
