What you'll do:

  • Strategic Execution: Collaborate with senior leadership to translate the AI Health vision into actionable roadmaps that align with Hong Kong’s unique healthcare environment (public and private hospitals, and NGO sectors).
  • Commercialisation & Growth: Identify and prioritise high-impact AI opportunities. You will drive projects from concept to market, ensuring they are not just technically sound but commercially viable.
  • Regulatory & R&D Excellence: Lead the design and evaluation of AI-driven medical devices and digital health tools. You will navigate complex regulatory landscapes including FDA 510(k), ISO 13485, EU MDR, and Hong Kong local (e.g. CMPR) standards to ensure compliance.
  • Funding Management: Proactively identify, secure, and manage innovation fund and government-funded projects. You will be responsible for drafting high-quality proposals that drive divisional growth and contributions.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Act as a key representative at industry seminars, conferences, and exhibitions. You will build and maintain relationships with top-tier universities, tech suppliers, and clinical partners to build a robust Life & Health ecosystem.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and consultants to deliver complex AI initiatives, with the autonomy to lead specific workstreams as you demonstrate capabilities.

 

You’ll be a good fit if you have / are:

  • A Master’s or PhD in Bioscience, Medicine, Medical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully securing government-funded innovation grants and proven track records in applying large-scale funding.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in hospital operations, medical diagnostics/devices,  healthcare consultancy or healthcare regulatory administration, specifically focusing on the intersection of AI-driven Digital Healthcare.
  • Deep familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations. Direct experience with the Hong Kong or GBA medical regulatory environment is a advantage.
  • The ability to translate complex technical research into a compelling business case for stakeholders and non-technical clients.
  • Exceptional proposal writing skills and the presence to manage high-level stakeholders in both English and Chinese with the ability to manage relationships with government departments, enterprises and GBA partners.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred.
  • Candidate with less experience will consider Technical Officer position.
