The Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation established by statute in 1967 to promote productivity excellence through integrated advanced technologies and innovative service offerings to support Hong Kong enterprises.  To meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business environment, we are looking for a seasoned executive for the post of Chief People and Culture Officer for both Hong Kong and Mainland operations.

 

Job Description

What you will do:

 

  • Be a strategic business partner in the senior management team by leading and translating strategic business objectives and initiatives to human capital and culture building 
  • Develop people and talent strategy, solutions and workforce plans that create business results and nurture an inspiring and creative culture
  • Act as a catalyst for change, guide and drive organisation design, development and change management solutions
  • Develop robust talent management plan and drive initiatives to attract, retain, develop and engage hi-tech talents in Hong Kong, Mainland and overseas
  • Cultivate a teaming organisation and develop people to maximise their potential
  • Drive digital transformation and process simplification to streamline existing processes and champion continuous improvement
  • Lead the succession planning process for maintaining healthy management pipeline
  • Develop multifaceted relationship and holistically resolve key organisational challenges
  • Support the development of a high performing organisation, and enhance our employer brand for access to the best talents
  • Lead and develop a strong team with mandate to drive and optimise the people functions for delivering a high standard of excellence in overall people management processes and policies 
  • Lead facility management, safety and health, and administration functions
  • Drive and manage the provision of facility renovation and maintenance services and enhancement works to support business and operational requirements
     

You will be a good fit if you have/are: 

 

  • Master/ Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or equivalent with 10 years' or more relevant experience in senior people manager roles gained largely with sizeable/ multinational organisations or high growth technological companies
  • Experienced strategic partner to senior management and stakeholders in leading key objectives, change management initiatives with successful outcomes
  • Experience in working in sizable organisations in Asia Pacific 
  • Demonstrated expertise in workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, employer brand management, digital transformation, organisational culture, and execute a roadmap to success
  • Demonstrated innovative mindset and new ways of working to optimise performance, with proven record of developing people and organisations
  • Ability to orchestrate shared values across the employees and reinforce them for cultural development
  • Ability to work and lead in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and effectively handle multiple complex and competing priorities independently
  • Business and people acumen, with ability to influence staff and managers at all levels
  • Strong strategic thinking, excellent coaching and facilitation skills
  • Experience in working with HKSAR and/or Mainland Government will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven approach to draw insights, prioritise and influence decisions
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
