Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Manage and administer the Government funding programme that encourages local companies and inventors to protect their inventions through patent registration
  • Implement the overall process of applications vetting, fund disbursement, programme development and promotion to achieve programme effectiveness and quality assurance
  • Monitor budget, key performance indicators and implement measures to ensure smooth team performance and achieve the expected performance levels
  • Take lead on digitising the programme processes and implement measures for enhancement of the effectiveness
  • Compile programme statistics, prepare annual plan, monthly and annual report and presentation materials
  • Participate in a project which aims to analyse the Hong Kong’s patent protection trends in innovation and technology, IP protection, IP commercialisation and dispute resolution

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Law, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' working experience in related field with experience in digitalisation will be much preferred
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
