What you'll do:   

  • Drive business growth in Chinese mainland focused on Yangtze River Delta (YRD) and other prioritised locations in areas of technology R&D & technology assessment, smart manufacturing, and international standards/testing services.
  • Deliver sizable financial results. Achieve collaboration successes with commercial and public sectors. Brand HKPC publicity with impacts.
  • Leverage government, enterprise, and industrial park resources to secure funding, improve customer satisfaction, and meet KPIs.
  • Identify cooperation opportunities with government departments, research institutions, and advanced manufacturing enterprises in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui.
  • Establish a clear path from initial intent to formal contract signing, and secure R&D projects through regional and national scientific research programs.
  • Collaborate with Hong Kong SAR Government institutions and trade platforms in the YRD and other prioritised locations, and participate in industrial promotion and roadshow events.
  • Build a sustainable government-enterprise-university cooperation network with key universities, tech transfer platforms, and research institutions.
  • Promote Hong Kong’s New Industrialisation funding schemes, assist enterprises in applications, and support project implementation and production line development.
  • Offer customized cross-border services, including overseas market access, compliance assessment, and international testing/verification.
  • Coordinate with HKPC HQ technical team to align resources with local YRD/other prioritised locations' demands and ensure technical and cross-departmental support.
  • Conduct industry and policy research in key YRD areas and other prioritised locations to support strategic business planning.
  • Travel frequently within the YRD/other prioritised locations and to Hong Kong.

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s or above in science and engineering disciplines such as Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, with Hong Kong / overseas study or work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in relevant business development within technology services, advanced manufacturing, industrial digitalization, or government-enterprise cooperation in the YRD region.
  • Deep understanding of Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui.
  • Familiar with Hong Kong’s industrial policies, sci-tech innovation, and government funding programs.
  • Proven success in R&D project cooperation, funding applications, and enterprise overseas expansion.
  • Strong in project management, cross-regional collaboration, government-enterprise communication, and business proposal writing.
  • Result-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.
  • Willing to work long-term in the YRD region and align with HKPC’s development philosophy.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work is a must.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
