Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Manage and administer the government funding programme that encourages local companies and inventors to protect their inventions through patent registration

  • Implement the overall process of applications vetting, fund disbursement, project monitoring to achieve programme effectiveness and quality assurance

  • Work closely with grantees and service providers for patent applications and prepare relevant documents required for patent applications and funding disbursement

  • Manage subordinates to ensure the successful execution of the programme's objectives and maintain high standards of performance

  • Enhance workflow and implement digitisation for the funding programme and conduct analysis regularly

  • Support in curating promotion materials for IP service centre and organising promotion activities and outreach 

  • Compile programme statistics, prepare relevant research and reports

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree from disciplines such as law, science, engineering, information system, business or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ work experience 
  • Intellectual property experience will be an advantage
  • Good analytical, writing, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature, self-motivated, well-organized, meticulous and result-oriented
  • Good command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
