Job Description

What you'll do:
- Participate in executing environmental and waste management projects as well as environmental study
- Conduct desktop research on most updated waste management practices and recycling technologies in oversea (i.e. EU or USA) including waste handling practices by frontline workers to cope with waste charging scheme, waste EV batteries recycling practices and regulation, etc.
- Participate in conducting research and development of environmental technologies
- Participate in arranging environmental promotion and publicity programmes
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- Diploma or above in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Mature, self-motivated, flexible, able to work independently and meet tough deadlines
- Knowledge of waste management practices and regulations in Europe/USA is preferred
- Good command of English
- Good at other European languages (such as German, Spanish, etc.) for assisting in desktop research tasks on EU waste management practices and recycling technologies is an advantage.
Note:
1. Applicant may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position.
2. This is a temporary position for a period of 5 months.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
