Assistant Manager, SME One

Job Duties:

  • Support SMEs and startups in both Hong Kong and GBA by providing up-to-date market information and funding support programmes
  • Support the unit head to run SME One on different initiatives, include (but not limited to): organizing events, running promotion campaign, supporting event logistics, managing networking programs with trade associations, organizing study missions in China and overseas, etc. for the purpose to facilitate business interaction among HK enterprises from different industry sectors in the GBA, including HK
  • Facilitate SMEs and startups on their business expansion in the region (I.e. HK and GBA); provide advice on government funding support available in both HK and GBA, and other market information
  • Proactively meet with trade associations and SMEs (including start-ups) in HK to promote GBA’s business opportunities
  • Prepare and execute marketing activities including procurement, on/off line promotional materials preparation, pre and post event follow up, database management, data analysis, etc.
  • Handle enquiries from walk-in visitors, email, telephone hotline, as well as reaching out activities; follow up enquiries and provide further assistance if necessary
  • Conduct data analysis and provide statistical report


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree or above from any disciplines with 5 years' relevant experience in Business administration, marketing, etc.
  • Experience of customer service
  • Knowledge in operating business in GBA and funding schemes an advantage
  • Well-versed in MS Office and Chinese Word Processing
  • Knowledge in design software, e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, video shooting, is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation manner
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure; good time management and multi-tasking
  • Good command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Willing to travel

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
