What you'll do:

  • To assist the Unit Head and managers in coordinating government funding projects for the APAS R&D Centre with scopes in enhancing the convenience of motorists, enhancing road efficiency and improving road safety;
  • To propose feasible project ideas and apply funding related to automotive applications to government funding;
  • Act as a major contact point between project team members and funding secretariat office in administrative issues including project management, project execution, progress monitoring, procurement, reporting, presentations, promotion and meetings, etc;
  • Feedback on problems of hardware and software development and report to the Unit Head for any delay and suggestions for resolutions with project teams;
  • Participate in progress meetings with technical solution partners or suppliers with different project sub-teams;
  • Plan well and monitor progress for budget project milestones, deliverables, test methods and planning, etc;
  • Plan any demonstration / display activities with marketing team to better promote the R&D results and project commercialization.

 

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Information Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent;
  • 2 years or more working experience in leading and monitoring project(s) in research and consultancy services / product design or manufacturing, etc;
  • Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills, able to coordinate various resources and achieve common goals;
  • Good sense of commercial business running and practicality. Financial mind-set is highly required;
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates.  A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered.  The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
