What you'll do
- Support the team to ensure the organisation adherence to technology-related compliance standards, regulatory requirements and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to cybersecurity initiatives.
You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
- Demonstrate any of following experiences in cybersecurity:
- Application development, Cloud infrastructure, Critical infrastructure, Data governance and privacy, Defensive / Offensive security, DevSecOps, Internet of Things (IoT) / Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Operational, Technology (OT) or Other emerging technologies
- Experience and knowledge in any of below cybersecurity standards, regulations or frameworks is an advantage :
- Center for Internet Security (CIS), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies (COBIT), European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ESTI), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Security Forum (ISF), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), Experience with OpenAI, ChatGPT or other similar applications is a plus
- Students of tertiary institution in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity, especially in areas like application development, cloud infrastructure, and other emerging technologies.
- Knowledge or interest in cybersecurity standards and frameworks is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and work in a collaborative environment.

2. This is a position of Part-time internship programme of 9 months.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
