Programme Overview 

HKPC Career Launchpad is a Career Acceleration Programme designed for 2026 graduates who want to build future-ready capabilities, gain practical workplace exposure and accelerate their professional growth opportunities. Participants will take part in a structured journey that combines workplace experience, AI capability development and professional guidance to help them strengthen workplace readiness, confidence and long-term career success. Designed for the future workplace, the programme goes beyond traditional work experience by integrating learning, development and practical workplace exposure into one structured experience. 

 

What You’ll Experience:

 

1.Workplace Experience 

Gain practical workplace experience in an HKPC division taking into consideration your academic background and career interests where appropriate. Through real projects and professional collaboration, you will develop a better understanding of workplace environments and potential career pathways. 

Participants will be assigned to an HKPC division for two full days per week to gain practical workplace experience and will receive remuneration for these designated workplace experience activities.

 

2. AI Capability Development
Develop AI literacy through structured learning, practical AI applications and sharing by AI Ambassadors and practitioners. Gain exposure to how AI is being applied across different workplace and professional contexts.


3. Professional Insights and Development Support
Gain professional insights and development support through mentoring, professional sharing opportunities and ongoing feedback. Learn from experienced professionals and gain a broader understanding of career pathways and workplace practices.


4. HR Buddy Support
Receive personalised support from HR Buddies through workplace insights, interview preparation tips and practical advice. Strengthen workplace readiness, professional confidence and self-awareness through regular development conversations.

Engineering and Science Related Division / Unit: 

 

Required Discipline of Study: Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data & AI, Science, Life Sciences, Environmental or other related disciplines. 

 

1 .Centre of Advanced Power and Autonomous Systems (先進能源及智慧交通中心 ) - APAS develops advanced technologies for automotive platforms, new energy and autonomous systems. Its work covers intelligent systems, smart mobility, green transportation and commercialisation. 

  

2. New Industrialisation Division (新型工業化部)  - NID supports enterprises in transforming traditional industries through advanced production, smart technologies and innovation. Its work covers Industry 4.0+, emerging industries, food tech and technical services. 

  

3. Digital Trust and Transformation Division (網絡安全及數碼轉型部) - DTD helps organisations enhance operations through digital transformation, cybersecurity and emerging technologies. Its key areas include digital consulting, digital enablement, HKCERT and cyber security. 

  

4. Green Living and Innovation Division (綠色生活與創新部) - GID promotes green technology, sustainable living and environmental innovation. Its work covers GreenTech testing, environmental intelligence, AquaTech research and climate technology innovation. 

  

5. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Division (機械人及人工智能部) - RAD develops applied technologies in robotics, automation and artificial intelligence. Its key areas include intelligent manufacturing, innovative AI and robotics solutions. 

  

6. Smart City Division (智慧城市部) - SCD develops smart city technologies that improve sustainability, connectivity and quality of life. Its work covers smart electronics, smart buildings, testing, green transportation and smart systems. 

  

7. Smart Manufacturing Division (智能製造部) - SMD develops smart manufacturing technologies to enhance industrial productivity and innovation. Its work covers advanced manufacturing, smart industrial systems, composite technology, nano materials and metals technology. 

  

8. Industrial Advancement and Research Unit (產業賦能發展及調研) - IAR drives applied research, technology commercialisation and innovation development. It works with industry, academia and government partners to turn research outcomes into practical solutions. 

  

9. Advanced Production Technologies Unit (先進生產技術組) - APT develops and applies emerging technologies to support industry transformation and business innovation. It helps enterprises improve productivity, operational excellence and digital competitiveness. 

  

10. Digital Workplace Services Unit(數碼工作支援組) - DWS enables HKPC’s digital workplace and enterprise technology ecosystem. It supports IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud services, ERP operations and system implementation governance. 

  

 

Business Related Division / Unit: 

 

Required Discipline of Study: Faculty of Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Law, Logistics, Language Studies, or related disciplines 

  

1. Corporate Development Division (企業拓展部) - CDD drives HKPC’s corporate branding, marketing and stakeholder engagement. Its key functions include creative and digital marketing, branding and corporate communications, and corporate events. 

  

2. Media and Communications Unit (傳訊組) - MAC strengthens HKPC’s market positioning, communications and stakeholder engagement. It supports marketing campaigns, content creation, media communications, customer engagement and event promotion. 

  

3. Compliance and Internal Audit Division (合規及內部審計辦公室) - CIA supports organisational compliance, internal controls and risk management. It develops policies, conducts audits and promotes responsible and ethical operations. 

  

4. Funding Schemes (資助計劃) - Funding schemes supports various government funding programmes that help businesses grow and innovate. It provides secretariat and administration support, processes applications, promotes schemes and supports applicants throughout the funding journey. 

  

5. Human Resources and Facility Management Division (人力資源及物業設施管理部) - HFD manages people, workplace and facility services across HKPC. Its work covers talent acquisition, HR operations, compensation and benefits, talent management, facility management, administration, safety and security. 

  

6. Finance and Procurement Division (財務及採購部) – FPD manages financial operations, procurement governance and resource planning. It covers budgeting, reporting, treasury, payment operations, procurement, tender administration, internal controls and compliance. 

  

7. InnoPreneur (SME & Startup Growth) and FutureSkills Division (新世代企業及技能發展部) - IFD supports SME, startup, corporate and talent development through training and business support. Its key areas include HKPC Academy, FutureSkills, TechEd training, SME ReachOut and SME One.
